RE: 09 Phaeton vs. 09 Monaco Diplomat

Take your time visit the factory's look and listen,Learn. When you come back you will have a better idea of what you would like to purchase. If you are going to invest in a MH. It will be to your advantage to take the time and spend the effort to visit where they are made. You will not regret this time spent. This is what we did. Hope this will help linda and spencer

RE: crockpot cooking while traveling

We usually have beef tips, carrots, potatoes, vegetables in (12 Volt)crock pot. We put pot in large boiler (in basement) where if it tips over boiler to catch over flow. Secure (starch cord came with pot)the top on good;and about 8 hr. later cooked then a little rice. Wonderful after a long day of driving. We check it at rest stops every couple of hours to make sure OK. We have cooked this way at least 15/20 time in the past two years. PS...The 12 Volt crock pot we have works well for two or three people any more need larger pot. (ROADPRO CROCKPOT) 12 volt slow cooker MD#RPSL-350 as posted above by (jfmoots) Roadpro said used 6.5 to 7 Amps.... or 78 to 84 watts. hope this will help linda and spencer

RE: Anyone leaving the Toad at home to save on fuel?

We have traveled with and without toad and found little or no difference in diesel fuel mileage.(more on the no difference side) For that reason we pull the SUV (Saturn Vue 3600lb) everywhere. Hope this will help linda and spencer

RE: Singing Hills RV Park /Mammoth Cave KY

We camped at Singing Hills a few years past;unfortunately it was not a good experience! Looked on rvparkreviews and our post has been dropped for the list. Believe it was in April 2006. We would not camp there again, if I remember Bath house was very dirty, lots were not easy to get in and out,Dumping station was not working, and the electrical hookup were not right. The Manager would NOT honor passport America and wanted to charge extra for air condition.... in April. Maybe new management is or has fixed these problems. If I remember across I-65 from SH on same exit a new campground was almost complete. I looked like it was designed very good,do not know Name. hope this will help linda and spencer

RE: Splendide 2100XC Washer/Dryer

Thanks for all... please keep information coming. Camping World has the 2100 and 2100XC on sale through about middle of February. The strange part is 2100XC is same price as the 2100.The 2100XC was listed for about $250 higher than the 2100 about three weeks pasted. We are trying to make the wright decision for our needs. linda and spencer
